Originally started in 1948 with a small two storey home, the owners of this funeral home built an addition in the 1970’s to address increase in business. In 2000, the owners asked us to design a new addition and renovate the existing. So we designed a new two storey 11,000 s.f. addition and renovated the existing 14,000 s.f. building to create a spacious two storey interior space with a grand feature stair, new reception, elevator, two covered entrances, six new visitation rooms, two coffee lounges and a skylight over the main entrance. The building is light-filled and spacious, allowing groups of people to move freely and comfortably. Opened in 2002, to rave reviews, the funeral home has served as a fine example to other funeral businesses of how to renovate for today’s customer.
