    OUR SUSTAINABLE APPROACH

“GREEN” Technology and “LEED” certification is becoming a growing movement. Our experience with GREEN materials, technology and architecture has been in existence since starting our practice of architecture. In fact architectural schooling and discipline taught us to respect the earth, sun, wind, and water. And so designing GREEN buildings has always just become matter of fact.

The concept of Sustainability is more than just a way of designing to minimize negative impacts on the environment. It is a widespread idea, which can be applied to many aspects of life. It is about realizing that the natural environment, social systems and the economy are all interconnected, and that all aspects should be looked upon equally, while developing an appropriate solution to a project. From an architectural perspective, built structures house all the basic functions of modern society in almost every way, so this concept has always been vital to what architects do.

Our firm’s goal is to look at every project as an ‘integrated whole’, in which everything is interconnected. Every aspect of a project is looked at from the individual to the common whole and is designed to achieve our sustainable standard. That is why we implement equally, the use of effective design standards through all phases of development and construction, while utilizing environmentally efficient methods and materials, all within the client’s specified budget. The long-term success of our projects is maximized through the use of integrated design practice and eco-efficient building systems overseen by product lifecycle management for the achievement of a healthy building for all users and the environment.

    FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENT
The process of LEED uses this concept as a standard for developing principals and criteria which are applied to construction and development, to promote the use of energy efficient and environmentally friendly procedures in buildings and communities. Today, however, the decision to go GREEN or LEED can be daunting. A comprehensive review of the project and all related phases will allow us to assess the feasibility of this choice for the Client. We will consider budget, schedule, existing conditions, available resources, and most importantly, the expectations of the Client. We will help to establish which design ideas are appropriate to pursue, which provide the desired results, and which sustainable strategies are the most cost-effective.

    PROJECT COORDINATION
This process can be challenging, so our approach to managing successful green projects is to facilitate effective interaction between all members of the project team to enhance achievement of the project goals. This holistic approach to the design and construction process is the key component to optimizing the effectiveness of the overall project.

    PROJECT COORDINATION
It is our mandate to simplify and demystify the going green process. We will help all of our Clients achieve sustainable goals through realistic and measurable initiatives. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with Green solutions that are straight forward, realistic and practical.
